The Lacrosse Ice Pick Check is a daring move that can quickly turn the tide of a game. As a defender, you will be flying over the head of your opponent and striking their stick with the bottom of yours. This will not only throw them off balance, but it can also give you the opportunity to take control of the ball. However, this check is not for the faint of heart. If executed incorrectly, it can leave you out of position and vulnerable to a counterattack. Therefore, it is essential to only attempt this check when you are confident in your abilities. When executed correctly, the Lacrosse Ice Pick Check is a powerful weapon in any defender’s arsenal.

One thing to keep in mind that Lacrosse Ice Pick Check is an one-handed check. The key to successful implementation of this check is to make sure that you maintain control of your own stick at all times. If you lose control, you run the risk of giving the opponent an easy goal. So, next time you’re on defense and looking to make a big play, go for the Ice Pick Check and take your game to the next level.

Lacrosse Ice Pick Check is a high-risk check. There are few things that you need to keep in mind while you are at it are – you need to be 100% sure that you can recover your position easily in case you fail to throw your opponent out of his position and 2nd – the opponent player is not very close to the goal.

The steps are fairly simple –

    • First release your bottom hand and then move the stick over the head of the opponent player, and then hit his stick with it without coming in contact with the helmet.
    • As soon as the opponent player drops the ball, you need to get your stick back into your hand so that you can pick up the ground ball.

Lacrosse Ice Pick Check can work wonder when the opponent players are least expecting it.

Also keep in mind you are not allowed to pick up the ground ball unless you have got two hands on your stick. You are not allowed to make any body contact while your one hand is free.
